Life at Hutong School - Part 2 The apartment

As you can see the apartment isn't too bad!  On the first level are a living room and kitchen, a bathroom with a washing machine, and 2 bedrooms.  Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms (including mine) and a second bathroom.  The kitchen has cooking utensils but we're right next to 鬼街 (guijie, Ghost Street) which is one of the most famous eating areas i all of Beijing.  (I'll do a post on this later.)  Needless to say not much cooking goes on.

I found it fairly typical for an Asian apartment, as did everyone else, but apparently Hutong has much nicer pictures on their web site, for example bathrooms with actual shower stalls.
