Hutong Alleys

We spent the past couple of days strolling around the Hutong Alleys. These are the narrow alleys between the old Chinese courtyard houses. Beijing was once a massive network of these alleys, although now most have been torn down for development. Some are maintained for tourism, and some are still in use as residences.

The most common way to tour the Hutongs is by pedicab.

There's something for everyone - even folk music and Flamenco dancing!
