My flight was delayed a half hour, and then my backpack was the last piece of luggage off the plane, but I am now in Guilin at my new home (for the next 2 weeks). My new family was nice enough to wait up for my arrival (I got to their apartment after 2AM!) and give me a brief orientation before they went off to bed. I had a short night's sleep because I'm off to my new school today (Saturday) for my school orientation. I'll post pictures and a better description later when I have time.
By the way it is POURING rain here in Guilin today. Some tourists that I met in Kunming told me that at this time of year it rains a lot here. Oh well just like a winter in Victoria I guess :-S
